Everybody knows to watch the College Football Playoff and the New Year’s Six. Here are five underrated bowl games you also don’t want to miss this year.

Army and Navy played their traditional contest in Philadelphia, wrapping up the 2019 regular season. The Heisman Trophy has been decided, with LSU quarterback Joe Burrow winning in a landslide. All that is left now in 2019 is to watch a glut of bowl games around the holidays.

The two College Football Playoff semifinals, pitting No. 1 LSU against No. 4 Oklahoma at the Peach Bowl and No. 2 Ohio State against No. 3 Clemson at the Fiesta Bowl, will be appointment television on the final Saturday of the year. New Year’s Six matchups will also provide plenty of entertainment for college football fans.

That, however, encompasses less than 20 percent of the postseason bowl games that will be played over the next few weeks leading into the new calendar year. There are bound to be some duds in the bunch as teams come into their bowl games with differing levels of motivation. But in general, there should be plenty of worthwhile action to catch from destinations around the country.
