The Camping World Bowl features one of the best matchups of bowl season with Iowa State and Notre Dame football squaring off.

Who would have thought that the Camping World Bowl would be one of the best matchups of bowl season? Not me, but that’s what happens when you match Notre Dame and Iowa State up.

Why exactly should you tune in to the Camping World Bowl?

3. Notre Dame’s fourth double-digit win season in five years

Notre Dame is heading into this bowl game with a chance to get to 11 wins. The Irish currently are sitting at 10-2 and while they aren’t in the playoff this year, they still have had a solid season and anytime you win 11 games it’s a good season, despite being disappointed with a few losses.

The past five seasons has been Notre Dame’s best run since the Lou Holtz years in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The football program has a firm foundation right now and will be able to put another good season behind them after his bowl game.

Head coach Brian Kelly is 4-4 in bowl games at Notre Dame and that is including a BCS National Championship game and a College Football Playoff appearance. He has found success at Notre Dame, especially as of late. He had a few years early into his tenure that had people questioning if he was the right hire, but has made some changes and is clearly doing a good job.

Notre Dame’s only losses were to Georgia and Michigan this year — both respectable programs to lose to. They played Georgia extremely close and got blown out against Michigan. They will look to avoid losing to Iowa State and finish the year on a high note.
