Despite being down 14-0 in the first quarter, Texas A&M football stormed back for a 24-21 win over Oklahoma State. What did we learn about the Ags?

Oklahoma State jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter behind strong plays for Chuba Hubbard and the rest of the Cowboy offense. However, the Aggies then scored 24 unanswered to bring the victory back to College Station and to give Jimbo Fisher his 100th career win. Yes, there was that touchdown with a minute left for the Cowboys, but it wasn’t enough to bring the game back or give them the win.

What did we learn about the team in Maroon and White?

3. Halftime adjustments were huge here

The Aggies went to halftime down 14-7 and feeling a lot of pressure to get back into the game and really show what this team could do. They were being outplayed offensively in almost every facet and were unable to get much of anything going.

Without their defense, which we will discuss later, this game could have been much more out of reach at the half than the Aggies were prepared to climb out of.

I am not sure what was said, but something happened at halftime. Adjustments were made and the Aggies were able to climb back into this one and come out victorious.

Of course, starting slow isn’t going to fly as they move forward throughout the upcoming 2020 season. We saw that against LSU just about a month ago. Stupid penalties and slow starts get you next to nowhere. The Aggies were just lucky that things didn’t get too out of hand.
