3. Trevor Lawrence was electric

Trevor Lawrence must have a thing for the big moment, as he put on yet another clutch playoff performance. He finished with 259 passing yards, 107 rushing yards and three total touchdowns. He started off the game slow, but the targeting penalty midway through the second quarter woke a beast, as he could not be stopped after he took that big shot.

He had some help with Travis Etienne showing off his great burst making some huge chunk plays including the touchdown that gave Clemson the lead late in the game.

Have to give Clemson’s defense some credit as well they played with a bend but don’t break mentality. Holding Ohio State to three field goals while they were in the red zone kept the Tigers within striking distance.

Ohio State again got in the red zone with under a minute left, and the pick by Nolan Turner embodied Clemson’s ability to turn away the big play when they needed it most.
