9. LSU vs. Texas A&M (2018)

Seven overtimes, 146 combined points and a gatorade bath by the losing team. This game was a great battle that featured intense back and forth action all night long.

This matchup has been a new addition to rivalry week and nobody expected this to take the shine from Ohio State vs. Michigan or Alabama vs. Auburn, but this year was just different.

Memorable Play

LSU led 31-24 with 29 seconds left when Kellen Mond threw up a prayer that ended up getting picked off seemingly ending the game. A great man once said, “Not so fast, my friend.” It was ruled  that Mond’s knee was down before the throw leading to a ridiculous seven-overtime period that seemed like it was never going to end.

The fact that both teams matched each other for six straight periods was hard to believe, but college football fans were not complaining. Mond finally finished the game by finding Kendrick Rogers for the 2-point conversion and the 74-72 victory.
