In a game that you surely don’t want to miss, Oregon football takes on Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. What do you need to know about this one?

Oregon and Wisconsin meet in what surely will be one of the more exciting games this bowl season. The Ducks and the Badgers are looking to have that signature win to catapult their season higher than it already is. Both teams have had respectable seasons so far this year, one sitting at 10-3 and the other sitting at 11-2.

Obviously Oregon has the Pac-12 title and was one win away from sitting pretty in the College Football Playoff. Wisconsin sat right behind Ohio State in the Big Ten after losing in the championship game.

So, both of these teams were just a game or two from being College Football Playoff contenders and now they face off in the Rose Bowl. Here’s all you have to know about the matchup.

Keys to Victory

This game will easily be one of the more exciting matchups in this bowl season and that includes the National Championship. Of course, now that Utah made the Pac-12 look like a whole mess, Oregon needs this win for the sake of their conference. Do Justin Herbert and the Ducks have one more big win left in them? Will Jonathan Taylor and the Badgers run wild?

The Badger offensive line is the star for them in this one. Will the unit live up to the billing and allow Jonathan Taylor to do his thing? He is 91 yards from 2,000. However, the Oregon front is strong on both sides and can rival the Badgers. This will be a battle won in the trenches for sure and one of which side can really get their offense going and keep it going.

Prediction

I am not going to pretend to know for sure which way this game is going to go. I would not be surprised if this one is chosen by one score or less. However, I’ve got Wisconsin late, thanks to a spurt or two by Jonathan Taylor down the stretch.

Final Score: Wisconsin 28, Oregon 24
