There will be players that will create an impact in the 2020 Armed Forces Bowl between Southern Miss and Tulane. Three could determine the game overall.

College football’s bowl season is getting ready to come to a close. There are only three games left on the season. Former C-USA foes in the Southern Miss Golden Eagles (7-5) and the Tulane Green Wave (6-6) will meet in the 2020 Armed Forced Bowl on Jan. 4. This will be the 31st matchup between the teams in the previous Battle for the Bell Rivalry.

This matchup will be different as opposed to the previous games of the bowl. This will be the second time in the bowl game’s 17 years that the game will be played in January. This will be the first time in five seasons that the game will not feature either the military teams in Air Force, Army or Navy.

The Green Wave come into this matchup with the more efficient scoring offense, but the Golden Eagles are more stout on the defensive side of the ball. This matchup will come down to whose offense, led by their dual-threat quarterback, will be able to lead more drives and finish them.

They will be doing so against defenses that have more stability against their offensive strengths. Both teams have players on both sides of the ball that can make an impact but there a few that will be the main point of attention.

Here are three players to watch in this game.
