Offensive Line

Left tackle: Thayer Munford
Backup: Paris Johnson Jr.

Left guard: Harry Miller
Backup: Enokk Vimahi

Center: Josh Myers
Backup: Matthew Jones

Right guard: Wyatt Davis
Backup: Gavin Cupp

Right tackle: Nicholas Petit-Frere
Backup: Dawand Jones

Ohio State’s offensive line went from alarm bells ringing, potential glaring hole to quite possibly the best unit in the country when Thayer Munford, Josh Myers and All-American Wyatt Davis announced their collective return to Columbus for 2020.

Jonah Jackson and Branden Bowen graduated, but Miller and the winner of the Nicholas Petit-Frere/Paris Johnson Jr. battle should be able to fill those holes more than adequately.

Naming backups on the offensive line is a formality of sorts. In this case, the true backup center is Harry Miller, who spent 2019 backing up Myers and will transition to guard for 2020. Should something happen to Myers, Miller would slide to center and either Matthew Jones or Enokk Vimahi would become the left guard.

Being skipped over in this situation makes the graduate Gavin Cupp a transfer possibility. In a similar vein, Johnson Jr. would likely serve as backup at both left and right tackle while the huge Dawand Jones continues to develop.
