LSU Football: 3 takeaways from 2020 national title win vs. Clemson

2. Joe Burrow will be a Cincinnati Bengal, no question about it
Tonight, LSU’s Joe Burrow has set the record for most pass touchdowns in a season in FBS history, most touchdowns responsible for in a season in FBS history, most touchdowns responsible for in a title game and moss pass yards in a title game. He hasn’t thrown an interception yet in the postseason, dating back to the SEC title game.
He finished this matchup 31-for-49 with 463 passing yards and five touchdowns. He ran for 58 more. After taking a big-time hit near the end of the first half, Joe Burrow took the reins and took care of business. After being down for the first time this season by double digits, Joe Burrow and his offense did what they needed to do to find the win here in the biggest game of the year.
He will be the first pick in the NFL Draft and there is no doubt in my mind that is true. A Heisman winner, a National Champion and now the top pick of the draft? Burrow has likely written himself into College Football folklore for the long haul. Congratulations to him and his team.
