What a season it was for both Clemson and LSU football. LSU overcame an early deficit to hoist the CFP trophy and claim another national title.

LSU and Clemson matched up on Monday night for the College Football Playoff Championship and did not disappoint by any means. The LSU Tigers went down early 17-7 early but then went on a 21-0 run to end the first half to go on top 28-17 at the half. Trevor Lawrence looked shaky all game long as the Clemson Tigers could not ever regain the lead again in the National Championship.

Heisman winner Joe Burrow was on top of his game as the LSU Tigers gained over 600 yards of total offense and Burrow claimed five touchdowns and 463 yards through the air. The Purple and Gold were in the rare form once again on the biggest stage as they claimed their second national title in just 15 years. This also marks yet another championship for the SEC and particularly the SEC west since Alabama has dominated the last 10 years.

Projected first-round pick Joe Burrow not only lit up the scoreboard with his passing ability but also stunned the opposing Tigers with his athletic rushing ability as well. Burrow ran for 58 yards and managed timely first downs with his feet. Coach O deserves a ton of credit on the LSU sideline as well taking the Tigers to a national championship and a 15-0 season.
