1. Keeping WSU Relevant

There is really no doubt by any imagination that Mike Leach did not progress that Washington State Football program. Money started pouring in from high ranking donors and the athletic department was flush with cash while Leach was at the helm. The Cougs also made it to six bowl games in eight years and truly turned the program around from the depths of a 1-11 season.

Nick Rolovich is the man to keep this train moving in the right direction. He is of the same thinking as Leach and Pullman is not below him so he will look to keep proving himself on the football field year after year. While Leach’s antics may have grown tired in the athletic department, Rolovich will be enough of a breath of fresh air that you will see a noticeable difference inside of the program.

It seems as though Rolovich’s past players praise him in the media and I don’t see that changing when he moves to the Palouse. Washington State fans, this may not be the most splashy hire but I urge you to wait a few seasons and let Rolovich show you what he can do with his recruits. He has a dynamic offense and a great recruiting track record that should play well in the Pac-12.

Dare I say he might also be a Cougar’s hope to beat the in-state rival Washington Huskies a time or two, something that Leach can never say he did.
