The 2019 season ended Monday night with LSU being crowned champs. There are a handful of teams who are desperate for a College Football Playoff win.

In it’s six-year existence, the College Football Playoff has seen four different champions. The Alabama Crimson Tide twice (2016, 2018), the Clemson Tigers twice (2017, 2019), the LSU Tigers once (2020), and the Ohio State Buckeyes once (2015). And while only those teams have won, seven more have made it.

Alabama and Clemson are the regulars, having made five appearances in the CFP. Oklahoma’s got the second-most with four, with Ohio State trailing them with three appearances. And then there’s Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oregon, and Washington who’ve each made one appearance.

Only six schools have a win in the College Football Playoff, though — Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State and Oregon. That leaves the Big 12 as the only Power Five conference to not have a win in the College Football Playoff. Oh, and Notre Dame who competes as an Independent.

With that said, who needs a CFP win the most? We’ve got five teams who are desperate for just one victory. Any idea who they are?
