Clemson Football: 3 possible transfer destinations for Chase Brice
By Dante Pryor
1. Michigan State Spartans
The Michigan State Spartans are the only Power Five representative on this list. Like Colorado State, the Spartans offered Chase Brice out of high school. The difference between MSU and CSU is the Spartans have most of the staff that recruited him still in East Lansing. He’s a great fit for the Spartans.
Brice is an upgrade over the outgoing Brian Lewerke and better than the entire quarterback room at Michigan State.
Moreover, he brings one missing element to East Lansing, experience and talent. Four-star sophomore Theo Day is a prospect that needs development, as does three-star Payton Thorne, and Rocky Lombardi is a solid backup, at best.
Chace is a 60 percent career passer and can take advantage of the weapons in East Lansing like Jayden Reed, Tre Mosley, Jalen Nailor and young running back Elijah Collins. Brice is just the type of young blue-collar type of player Mark Dantonio likes.
When you are in a division with the likes of Ohio State and Michigan, you need a quarterback who’s played in big games. Brice might not have a plethora of game experience, but he has come up clutch in a big game before.
