LSU football may soon get richer as five-star South Carolina defensive tackle pledge Jordan Burch is fresh off a visit and trending toward the Tigers.

The rich just keep getting richer.

While having one of the top recruiting classes in the 2020 cycle, LSU is on its way to landing yet another gem in five-star defensive tackle Jordan Burch.

Nothing is official just yet, but the five-star South Carolina commit was in Baton Rouge this past weekend and recruiting experts have been quick to jump ship even before he has. Fans, too, are all-in on the Burch-to-LSU train as Gamecock faithful have seemingly given up on the battle with the reigning national champs butting in.

With recruiting experts flipping their picks on Burch’s future as he remains unsigned and committed to South Carolina for just over a month.

The draw of LSU has to be great right now, even without Dave Aranda leading the defense, and the recent hire of Bo Pelini as defensive coordinator has to be enticing. He could come in right away and have an immediate impact on a defense that’s losing a plethora of pieces.

Burch is ranked the No. 7 player in the country and second-best defensive tackle, according to 247Sports. It would make sense that he would stay close in his hometown of Columbia, S.C., but the draw of LSU is just too strong right now.

Ed Orgeron has done a great job of recruiting in Baton Rouge and Burch could be an absolute game-changer for the Tigers. He could be the next big star on defense but the flip isn’t official yet.
