National Signing Day is approaching and Arkansas football is looking to end on a high note. Could the Razorbacks close with these remaining targets?

Arkansas will be a team to watch on National Signing Day as Sam Pittman maneuvers his way through the recruiting landscape to try and close the class out on a high note.

It’s always tough for a new coach to come in and try to maintain relationships with recruits who had been talking to the previous head man. Chad Morris had a list of potential targets lined up and now Pittman has to try and close the deal to ensure his Razorbacks finish with a top-50 class and don’t sit at the absolute bottom of the SEC where the currently are for 2020.

Which four remaining targets could the Razorbacks be hopeful for on signing day?

This is one of those Sam Pittman pay-offs as hiring the former Georgia offensive line and associate head coach has its benefits. This is one of them.

Broderick Jones is currently a Georgia commit and has been one since April of 2018, but with Pittman taking the Arkansas job, Jones’ primary coach would be brand new and he’d have to develop a complete new relationship with him. Luckily for the Razorbacks, Pittman took advantage of this change and continued to recruit him.

Georgia seems like the team to beat still and it would take a change of heart for him to flip from the SEC-contending Bulldogs to the recent bottom-dwelling Razorbacks. But he could also be part of the turnaround.

Jones is ranked the No. 11 player in the class as well as the second-best offensive tackle, per the 247Sports composite. He could become Arkansas’ first-ever five-star offensive line signee and he just recently took a visit to Fayetteville on Jan. 18 which he called “eye-opening”. This recruiting finish will be fun to watch.
