LSU football is looking to end its 2020 recruiting class on a high note with a few elite late additions. Who could still be on the board?

Winning a national title has its benefits both on and off the field. Respect has been granted to Ed Orgeron and LSU football on an extreme level lately and the Tigers are looking to win big on National Signing Day as well.

The Tigers currently have the No. 4 class in the nation as well as the third-best in the SEC for 2020 with 24 current members. There may be room for a couple more guys and that’s where February’s signing day comes into play. Can the Tigers close out strong and land some of the best recruits still left on the board?

Who sits atop LSU’s board as signing day approaches?

South Carolina fans have been in panic mode with Jordan Burch ever since he committed. His commitment in December was met with excitement but was followed shortly after with worry that he might change his commitment.

Those worries are starting to look more warranted by the day as Burch has since taken an official visit to LSU and he earlier stated that the Tigers finished second during his recruitment but that may have all changed after his trip to Baton Rouge. He actually set a final decision date on signing day which makes it seem like he’s changed his mind.

Burch, a five-star recruit, is ranked the No. 8 player in the entire 2020 class and is the second-best defensive tackle, according to 247Sports.

If Burch doesn’t stay home to play for South Carolina, expect him to be a Tiger.
