Another player committed elsewhere, Jahmyr Gibbs has been part of Georgia Tech’s 2020 class since May but looks like he may wind up at another program.

Gibbs is one of the highest-rated running backs in the class, listed as the No. 8 rusher as well as the No. 75 recruit in 2020. Some services are much higher on him as 247Sports has him as a top-50 player and the fourth-best running back. No matter what service you prefer, he’s an elite back and is rated as such.

Georgia Tech is holding on for dear life as the Dalton, Ga., native has been in touch with Ohio State, LSU and Florida while Texas and Florida State have also recently joined the race.

The Tigers recently hosted Gibbs for an official visit and will see Georgia Tech one last time before signing day.

If the Tigers land Gibbs, he could have an immediate impact on the offense but he may have to fight for time with fellow freshman running back Kevontre Bradford who is currently committed. Will that scare him away? Potentially.
