Oregon has bounce-back stretch

Following the Auburn loss, the Ducks dominated the lower-level competition of Nevada and FCS Montana at home before playing its first true road game of the season at Stanford.

The Cardinal finished with a disappointing 4-8 record, by far the Cardinal’s worst season under head coach David Shaw, however, at this point in the season, they were still regarded by many as a quality opponent.

The incredible connection between Justin Herbert and tight end Jacob Breeland continued. After the Stanford game, Breeland, who had hauled in five touchdowns over the first four games, was considered a Mackey Award candidate (given to the nation’s top tight end).

A sloppy albeit efficient victory over Stanford by a final score of 21-6, gave the Ducks hope heading into the gauntlet of the Pac-12 Schedule.
