Alabama football enters National Signing Day with the No. 2 recruiting class in college football. Here’s who could have an immediate impact.

The Alabama Crimson Tide recruits at a pace that has never been seen. Nick Saban has put together a run of recruiting classes that should not be possible in today’s age of recruiting. Saban’s had eight No. 1 recruiting classes since he’s been the head coach at Alabama.

Teams that win national championships, make the playoff almost every year or are in the conversation simply recruit at a different pace than everyone else. Alabama is the gold standard of this principle.

Despite Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, LSU and even Texas A&M recruiting at a high level, the Crimson Tide routinely find themselves in the top five in the recruiting rankings. This cycle is no different as they sit at No. 2 in the rankings now. National Signing Day in February shouldn’t change this much.

This signing day is critical for Alabama. They didn’t have a typical Alabama season. They were on the outside looking in the national semifinal. They lost two games and one of those was to Auburn. The defense was not a typical dominant Alabama offense against elite competition.

This is the first year without the Jalen Hurts/Tua Tagovaolia continuum. We will see how many of their targets work out.

Here are three of their most important signees who could have immediate impacts.
