Auburn football had the potential to make a playoff push in 2019, but there were a number of shortcomings that led to a slightly disappointing season.

Auburn showed signs of potentially earning its first bid to the College Football Playoff in 2019, but fell short when the Tigers needed to step up. We take a look back at “what might have been” for the Auburn Tigers.

Auburn proved again why they have been the one of the most inconsistent football teams over the last few years in 2019.

Then, there were the four losses that all seemed to be with win’s reach, including the three-point defeat against eventual national champion LSU in Baton Rouge.

What were some of the more disappointing storylines that the Tigers found themselves in? Let’s take a look.
