Oregon football hasn’t been recruiting this well since the Chip Kelly era and it has Mario Cristobal to thank. Who’s still on the board for signing day?

Mario Cristobal has done a fantastic job with Oregon in his short time in charge. The Ducks have been recruiting much better under Cristobal than they had in previous years and could finish with another top-10 class with a strong finish on National Signing Day.

The Ducks still have some major targets left on the board and although they have the Pac-12’s best recruiting class, they’re not done yet.

Who sits atop Oregon’s recruiting board ahead of signing day?

According to 247Sports, Oregon is the favorite to land Seth Figgins who is a three-star tight end from Eugene, Ore.

The 6-6.5, 225-pound tight end has been recruited by some major programs since 2018 but his recruitment has gone quiet since. He has ideal size for an Oregon tight end and could be one of those field-stretchers that the Ducks look for. Also, he currently resides in Eugene so the move wouldn’t be all that drastic — there would be no move.

Figgins is ranked the No. 1,075 recruit and No. 47 tight end in the class by 247Sports. He has the look of a solid pass-catching collegiate tight end and the Ducks may have him all but locked up.

Don’t be surprised when he picks Oregon on Wednesday morning because, well, it seems as if all of his potential suitors have backed off. The Ducks could have a good one here.
