Texas A&M Football: 3 instant impact signees from 2020 class
Once again, Jimbo Fisher inked one of the best recruiting classes in the nation so who’ll have instant impacts for Texas A&M football in 2020?
Once again, Jimbo Fisher has proven himself as one of the best recruiters in all of college football as Texas A&M signed the No. 6 class in the country for 2020 and fourth-best in a loaded SEC.
The Aggies currently have 12 players in the 26-man class enrolled early but a number of incoming freshmen who could have an immediate impact on the squad in 2020. The Aggies are looking to compete for SEC titles in the near future, so will any of these guys help them reach that goal?
Which 2020 signees will haves instant impacts for the Aggies?
The top-ranked non-early enrollee has to be considered in the receiving corps. Texas A&M is losing Quartney Davis and Kendrick Rogers, leaving Jhamon Ausbon as the top returning option, but there is still other talent on the offensive side of the ball.
That’s where five-star wide out Demond Demas comes into play. He could be one of the regular contributors in the passing game. Kellen Mond is going to need some help after deciding to return for one more season with Davis and Rogers gone, and why not turn to a 6-3, 182-pound receiver from Texas?
Demas is ranked the No. 25 recruit in the 2020 class as well as the third-best receiver, according to 247Sports. He’s one of two five-stars who signed with the Aggies in 2020 and should see the field from the get-go, especially with that size.
Texas A&M won a major recruiting battle with the Texas Longhorns for Demas and his combination of size and speed (4.43 40-yard dash) is enticing.
