Kentucky football retained its best recruiter recently and that’s great news given the fact that the Wildcats had the No. 23 class in 2020.

Kentucky fans are flying high these days, especially after retaining Vince “Big Dog” Marrow as the recruiting coordinator. He was being courted by Mel Tucker and Michigan State and turned down a lucrative offer to stay in Lexington.

And that’s huge news moving forward as he’s helped put the Wildcats on the recruiting map, snagging kids from the Midwest that would normally pick the Spartans, Michigan and Ohio State.

Kentucky landed the No. 23 recruiting class in the country in 2020 and ninth-best in the SEC, but even though it’s behind eight teams in the conference, it should have a major impact on the upcoming season and could get the Wildcats over that hump.

Which incoming signees will have the biggest impacts in 2020?

Kentucky’s highest-rated early enrollee will surely have an immediate impact in 2020 as Samuel Anaele will be looked at to help replace T.J. Carter. The senior defensive end could give way to Kordell Looney or Jordan Wright, but with 7-8 months of assimilating to college ball, Anaele could compete for a starting job.

Anaele is ranked the No. 272 overall prospect and 11th-best strong-side defensive end as a four-star, according to 247Sports. Kentucky won a major recruiting battle for the Deerfield Beach, Fla., native with Miami.

Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing in at 243 pounds, Anaele has more than enough size and matching strength to be an instant impact player. Kentucky is trying to bolster that defensive line with size, stating that “big guys win” and the four-star incoming freshman is the perfect example.
