Returning at running back for Baylor in 2020 are Johnathan Lovett and Trestan Ebner who combined for 910 yards and eight touchdowns in 2019 and will both be seniors.

That’s not exactly an ideal scenario for Baylor with a new coaching staff, though Lovett seems like the type of back who could break 1,000 yards as he did average 6.4 yards per touch and led the team in rushing. But the staff could trade an Ebner for a Taye McWilliams, a four-star early enrollee running back from nearby Rosenberg, Texas.

McWilliams stands 6-foot-1.5 and weighs in at about 200 pounds, making him a load for defenders to bring down. He has a sub-4.5 40-yard dash time and has plenty of size and durability to make him an every-down back.

While he will likely take a backseat to Lovett and potentially Ebner on the depth chart to start the year, a rise to No. 2 would not be all that surprising.
