ACC football is looking for the rest of the conference to catch up with Clemson. Here are some of the top recruits joining the ACC in 2020.

Welcome to ACC headquarters where we do power rankings and occasionally rank recruits. We waxed and filled up the ROY bus to travel up and down Tobacco Road looking for the top recruits in the conference. Frankly, we could have just taken Clemson’s top recruits, but they do play football elsewhere in the ACC.

Seriously, here at headquarters, we fully realize there are question marks all over the conference, and no one is toppling Clemson any time soon. Despite this, there are schools need some young players to play well this season so they can begin the arduous task of competing with Clemson down the road.

In the ACC Atlantic, there are many schools that have interesting narratives coming into next season.

Florida State needs to replace Cam Akers’ production and figure out the quarterback — a common topic with many schools in the ACC. Not only does Miami need to figure out the quarterback position, but they also need to figure out their culture — Ed Reed will help with that. The Louisville Cardinals had a good first year under new head coach Scott Satterfield, but need to improve up front on both sides of the ball as well as their secondary.

The Coastal promises to be as wide open as it was last season. The Hokies found their quarterback in redshirt sophomore Hendon Hooker. They did not have a great recruiting class, however. We will see how much of a difference-maker grad transfer Chace Brice is in Durham. Bronco Mendenhall and the V-men have to replace Bryce Perkins which is no easy task.

Those are just a few of the many storylines in the conference that’s home to the “Rivalry that really ain’t”.

Here are 10 incoming recruits sure to have an impact on their teams and the ACC this season.
