Louisville football has signed the No. 42 class in the country for 2020 and Scott Satterfield has some talent to work with. Who’ll contribute right away?

Scott Satterfield has done one heck of a job at Louisville in his first year in charge, leading the Cardinals to an 8-5 record and a Music City Bowl win over Mississippi State.

No one expected Louisville to have this type of season in year one of Satterfield but he’s turned the Cardinals around quickly and just signed the No. 42 class in the country for 2020. A year ago, Louisville had the No. 69 class in the nation which was the worst in the ACC — this year, the Cardinals are up to No. 7 in the ACC.

Which signees will have an immediate impact for the Cardinals?

Losing a couple of defensive linemen from last year’s team will hurt the depth, but bringing in a three-star JUCO defensive end like Yaya Diaby with some experience under his belt is only good for the defense.

Diaby is ranked the No. 42 JUCO prospect in the country and third-best strong-side defensive end, according to 247Sports. He’s the No. 2 JUCO prospect from the state of Georgia and has ideal size for the position and should be able to come right in and compete for playing time.

The incoming signee is 6-foot-4 and weighs 255 pounds and picked the Cardinals over a handful of other Power Five programs. He should be able to wow the staff with his size and athleticism this offseason and make a move on the two-deep depth chart.
