North Carolina Football: 3 instant impact signees from 2020 class
Another early enrollee, Cameron Roseman-Sinclair, has a chance to be a special player for Mack Brown and Co. in 2020. The four-star safety from Charlotte, N.C., isn’t the tallest kid at 5-foot-11.5 but he has good size at nearly 200 pounds. He’ll be able to fit right into the defensive backfield and help replace the departing Myles Dorn.
North Carolina had a freshman starting at safety in 2019 (Don Chapman) and he finished the year with 30 tackles, two interceptions a pass batted down but there’s reason to believe Roseman-Sinclair could have an even more impressive first year.
The nation’s No. 24 incoming safety and No. 234 overall recruit has speed (4.63 40-yard dash) and plenty of athleticism (36.3-inch vertical) to play the safety position opposite Chapman, but will Brown want two underclassmen starting in the deepest part of his defense?
I’m not going to make the bold prediction of Roseman-Sinclair breaking the starting lineup, but the four-star from Charlotte will have an impact on the team immediately and that may just mean breaking the two-deep. This kid has plenty of talent and we’ll all find that out soon enough.
