Last, but certainly not least, is another early enrollee in four-star defensive tackle Kedrick Bingley-Jones. Also from Charlotte, N.C., he happens to be the fifth-highest rated signee in North Carolina’s 2020 class and second-highest early enrollee behind four-star receiver Josh Downs.

What makes Bingley-Jones so important is the fact that he plays a position of dire need for the Tar Heels and will be the No. 1 new face at the position this fall. The defensive tackle spots will be vacant with both Aaron Crawford and Jason Strowbridge graduating. Sure, there are some young guys who could fill in, but there’s going to be an open race and Bingley-Jones is sure to be in the thick of it.

Kedrick-Jones played some defensive end at the prep level, but with his thick 266-pound frame and 6-foot-4.5 height, he could transition nicely to the interior.

North Carolina needs some help on the defensive line and that’s where this kid comes into play. He is the No. 150 overall prospect in the class as well as the 15th-best defensive tackle, according to 247Sports.

Outside of these three guys, Mack Brown has a handful of other incoming prospects who should be able to play meaningful snaps from day one.
