Arizona State has been lucky to have one of the best running backs in the country over the past couple of years, but Eno Benjamin is making that leap to the NFL.

But with that heavy dependency on Benjamin in the backfield comes some concern moving forward as there’s no returning back who had more than 100 rushing yards last season. In fact, freshman quarterback Jayden Daniels was the team’s second-leading rusher with 355 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Even more concerning is the fact that no other back had more than 19 carries and 50 yards on the season.

That means that incoming four-star freshman, who happens to be enrolled early, Daniyel Ngata will see the field extensively. He is ranked the No. 124 prospect in the class as well as the third-best all-purpose back, according to 247Sports.

National recruiting editor for 247Sports Brandon Huffman had some high praise in terms of comps for Ngata, likening him to Christian McCaffrey.

The 5-9, 180-pound back has power, speed and size to have an immediate impact and could be a perfect replacement for Benjamin next season. Plus, he’ll have the offense down by the time spring ball rolls around.
