Oklahoma State football signed the No. 45 class in 2020 and Mike Gundy could have some new faces with major roles next season.

The future of Oklahoma State football is bright — the immediate future at least.

Bringing back Tylan Wallace, Chuba Hubbard and Spencer Sanders is good news for the Cowboys and bad news for the rest of the conference. The Cowboys’ big three will give the Big 12 problems once again in 2020 and that could make them the biggest threats to Oklahoma for the conference title.

Oklahoma State also brings in some talent with its 2020 class even though it’s ranked just No. 45 in the country.

Which 2020 signees will have an instant impact for the Cowboys?

Sure, the Cowboys are bringing Tylan Wallace back and as long as he can fully recover from his season-ending injury, he should be every bit as good as he was in 2019.

The Cowboys actually have a number of talented receivers returning in 2020, including Dillon Stoner and Braydon Johnson. The starting three are essentially set with those two along with Wallace, but the two-deep is wide open, especially with the departure of Jordan McCray.

Three-star Matt Polk has the size and athleticism necessary to compete for a spot in the regular rotation. He stands 6-foot-4 and weighs in at about 210 pounds, making him a load for opposing cornerbacks to handle. He’s not enrolled early, but it shouldn’t take him long to become one of Spencer Sanders’ favorite young targets with that size.

Polk is listed as the No. 565 overall prospect and No. 91 receiver in the class, per 247Sports.
