Running back is another position where the Hoosiers are deep, but a high-caliber recruit can earn some playing time. Tim Baldwin Jr. is that type of recruit.

The first thing that jumps out about Baldwin is his speed. He is a one cut and go type of runner, and when he goes, he is hard to catch. He is versatile with the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. Baldwin is an explosive playmaker going to a program that needs more explosive playmakers.

With Ronnie Walker entering the transfer portal, Baldwin will have a chance to get some serious playing time next season. Stevie Scott had injury issues last season and neither Walker nor freshman James Sampson was super impressive in relief of Scott.

Baldwin could push Sampson for carries or to be RB2 on the depth chart this upcoming season. He’s a burner and speed like his is hard to ignore or keep off of the field.
