After a disappointing season, South Carolina football looks to rebound in 2020. Here are three signees who can help turn the Gamecocks around.

The South Carolina Gamecocks did not have the season they expected.

In fact, 2019 was supposed to be Jake Bentley’s breakout season. They had the offensive personnel to light up the scoreboard. Head coach Will Muschamp felt this was his most talented defense since arriving in Columbia. It was supposed to be the Gamecocks to push the Bulldogs in the SEC East.

Fast forward to the end of the season and Bentley — who missed the entire season due to injury — transferred to Utah, the Gamecocks finished the season 4-8 and Florida, not South Carolina, rose up to challenged Georgia in the East.

If South Carolina wants to have a shot at contention, this incoming class has to produce right away. They only lose three starters on offense, but they lose every scholarship running back on their roster. Where they lost most of their talent is on defense. The Gamecocks lose seven players — five starters — on defense. That includes both of their interior linemen.

Which newcomers to the Gamecock program will produce? Here are three signees that will have an impact on the Gamecocks program.
