Speaking of receivers, Chimere Dike has an opportunity to be special. He will have an opportunity to get a lot of snaps next season with the early departure of Quintez Cephus to the NFL. Kendric Pryor, Danny Davis and Jack Dunn return, but Dike can give them a deep threat they don’t have.

If there was a glaring weakness from last season, the Badgers did not have a receiver who could stretch the field and take the top off of the defense. Wisconsin’s identity is the power running game, but they would be dangerous if they can stretch the field and keep safeties deep and out of the run game.

Dike has good size and even better hands. He brings elite top-end speed that the Badgers haven’t had in a long time. He needs work as a route runner, but his ability to get deep should get him snaps next season. Dike brings versatility as well. He can line up in the slot, at the split, or flanker. The ability to line up anywhere in a formation will give defensive coordinators fits.
