Out of the 17 quarterbacks invited to the NFL Combine, only three were from the Group of Five. Let’s take a look at their NFL draft stock.

There were only four quarterbacks invited to the 2020 NFL Combine that were not from a Power Five school. Three of those quarterbacks were from a Group of Five school while the fourth quarterback was from an Ivy League school. However, just because these quarterbacks did not end up playing college ball at a big school, does not mean they don’t have a legit shot at getting drafted, especially the three from the Group of Five.

As most people reading this article will know, Jordan Love, James Morgan and Cole McDonald are the three quarterbacks that were at the NFL Combine this year from Group of Five schools. Each of them are valuable prospect with each one getting a lot of buzz for different reasons.

Love will be the highest drafted out of the three and he has a chance to get drafted in the first round, he has all the tools scouts want in an NFL quarterback. Morgan has also boosted his stock over the past 1-2 months and is being considered as a guy who could get drafted in the mid to late rounds and potentially start at some point in the league. McDonald had a killer combine and showed that he was one of the best, if not the best, athletes out of all the quarterbacks at the combine, thus increasing his chances of getting drafted.

Let’s take a deeper look at each quarterback and go from most likely to get drafted last to most likely to get drafted first out of these three guys.
