All four starting linebackers from last year’s team are gone, and that might be good news for a defense that needs a complete turnaround. That does, however, mean that there will be four inexperienced guys starting in the middle of that defense.

Could one of those starters be Damian Sellers?

The four-star outside linebacker is the Bruins’ highest-ranked signee, listed as the No. 193 overall player in the country and seventh-best at his position, according to 247Sports.

How could the staff not give this guy a shot, especially because he plays a position of major need for the Bruins. He’s not enrolled early, but he should help ease the blow of losing both Josh Woods and Keisean Lucier-South from the outside linebacker positions.

Sellers, from Arizona, has great size at 6-foot-2 and 224 pounds and he has the look of an ideal linebacker in the Pac-12. He should see the field plenty in 2020.
