Choe Bryant-Strother is another linebacker that could help ease the blow of losing four starters from last year’s squad. He’s listed as an inside linebacker on 247Sports, but I could see him playing any position that needs to be filled.

The linebacker from Georgia isn’t the highest-rated signee in the class, but he is the top early enrollee at the position. I could also see Fullerton College transfer Caleb Johnson getting some action at the linebacker position early on for the Bruins, especially because he already has a couple of years of JUCO under his belt.

Flash it back to Bryant-Strother, though. He has good size at 6-foot-2.5 and 230 pounds and plays with a mean streak. He’s a tough linebacker who likes to hit and he’s not afraid of contact.

Getting on campus early should help as well. He’s already getting acclimated with the Bruins’ defense and you know that it has to help when it comes depth chart time this fall.

Bryant-Strother will get some run at linebacker this season and even though he’s just a three-star and the No. 434 overall prospect in the 2020 class, he could be a hidden gem.
