This is where the schedule turns into more of a gauntlet for the Rebels. Sure, staying in Oxford is nice, but hosting a tough Auburn team won’t be quite as welcoming.

Auburn has SEC title aspirations and a Heisman-caliber quarterback in Bo Nix. This one should be a tough one for the Rebels who want to make a statement, but Lane Kiffin and Co. will have to wait until later in the season for that. The Tigers’ defense will be stingy enough to hold Ole Miss to under 300 total yards and it’ll be one of those forgettable games, but a learning experience nonetheless.

Final Score: Auburn 31, Ole Miss 13 (1-2, 0-1 SEC)

Remember when I said Ole Miss would be facing a gauntlet starting with Auburn? Well, I wasn’t kidding.

The next game will be a road contest against the reigning national champs and even though LSU no longer has Joe Burrow to haunt opposing teams’ nightmares, it’ll find a more than capable replacement and continue its dominance with a stingy defense.

Matt Corral will have a forgettable game as Jerrion Ealy and Snoop Conner carry the offense on the ground. In the end, it’ll be a blowout win for LSU.

Final Score: Ole Miss 10, LSU 35 (1-3, 0-2)
