Ole Miss Football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2020
After getting a minor break with a road game against Vanderbilt, the Rebels will return home to another ranked team waiting for them. They’ll get Florida in Oxford and the Gators will be rolling at this point in the season with Kyle Trask having a heck of a senior campaign.
Florida will come in looking for blood as the Rebels are coming off a win and have some newfound confidence. That confidence will be crushed rather quickly as the Gators will take an early two-touchdown lead and never look back.
Dan Mullen and the Gators are in a good place right now and that’s something Lane Kiffin and the Rebels should aim for in the first few years of his tenure.
Final Score: Florida 38, Ole Miss 21 (2-5, 1-4)
A mid-season non-conference game splits up a tough schedule for the Rebels as the UConn Huskies come to town. This should be an absolute cakewalk for the Rebels as Connecticut has been one of the worst Group of Five teams in the country over the past few years.
Since his return to Connecticut three years ago, Randy Edsall is just 6-30 and the Huskies are making the move toward independence in 2020. Things won’t get much better.
Final Score: UConn 14, Ole Miss 38 (3-5)
