Brenden Rice is an intriguing prospect. The three-star receiver from Arizona was named an Under Armour All-American and is ranked the No. 411 prospect in the country as well as the 68th-best receiver in the class, according to 247Sports.

The three-star wide out was being courted by Arizona State and Michigan but chose Mel Tucker and the Buffaloes and you can bet he was shocked by the news of the coach who recruited him taking another job across the country with Michigan State.

Rice has the size you want in a receiver, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing in at slightly over 200 pounds and you’d think with that size that he wouldn’t have a ton of speed, but he runs a 4.62 40-yard dash and has a 36-inch vertical. This kid seems like he’s about to be a freak in Boulder, it just depends on who will be getting him the ball with Steven Montez gone.

Plus the Buffaloes have a couple of departing receivers in all-everything star Laviska Shenault Jr. and Tony Brown which opens the door for Rice.

We should see plenty of this talented incoming freshman in 2020.
