With a slow news cycle in college football, our Blitz podcast hosts took a swing at Group of five vs. Power Five games and potential title venues.

We’ve reached a bit of a stall in the college football offseason as the coaching carousel has come to a halt and we haven’t quite gotten into spring practices just yet, though that is just around the corner.

With a slow news cycle this week, our podcast hosts decided to take a crack at some evergreen content and posed a couple of interesting questions to one another.

In the first segment on this week’s podcast, John and Zach discuss hypothetical Power-Five versus Group-of-Five matchups that they would most like to see in 2020. If you had full scheduling powers, what matchups between teams from the Group-of-Five and teams from the Power-Five would you most like to see?

Would you like to see UCF getting a couple cracks at perennial powers to see if they measure up? What about giving Boise State another crack at putting a power-five skin on the wall? How about Appalachian State going for another win against Michigan?

There are endless interesting possibilities of these types of matchups that would be more exciting that what we currently see on the 2020 schedule this year.

After the break, our two hosts discuss hypothetical future College Football Playoff National Championship venues. Where would you most like to see the national championship game take place?

The hosts discuss realistic scenarios like Las Vegas while also diving into thoughts about taking college football global and some potential international venues that would make for good hosting sites for college football’s biggest game.
