Miami football had a forgettable 2019 season but Manny Diaz and the Hurricanes are hoping to turn it around in 2020.

To say that Miami football had a disappointing season in 2019 would be a massive understatement.

It began with a sloppy Week 0 contest against the Hurricanes’ hated rivals, the Florida Gators, in which the Canes almost pulled the upset. They followed that up with a very disappointing showing against North Carolina on the road and started the season 0-2.

From winning ugly against Central Michigan to losing inexplicable games to Georgia Tech, Florida International, Duke and the bowl game to Louisiana Tech, 2019 was just bad all around and I’m sure Hurricanes fans everywhere are ready to get on to 2020.

There are plenty of changes on the horizon for the Hurricanes in the 2020 season, however. Rhett Lashlee was hired away from SMU to be the new offensive coordinator and help improve one of the worst offenses in college football last season and bring the spread offense to South Beach. D’Eriq King transferred to the Hurricanes and is the heavy favorite to be the new starting quarterback.

I’m going to take a look at what I consider to be the biggest questions the Canes will be looking to answer this spring and how that can set them on the course for a more successful 2020.
