Notre Dame enjoyed an 11-2 mark in 2019. They also enjoyed a very favorable schedule. Irish eyes were crying as they watched the team fail to upset Georgia in Athens, and get drubbed by Michigan in Ann Arbor.

They did dominate Navy amid the smell of upset, and Ian Book’s 3,034 passing yards are certainly nothing to sneeze at. Book will be back in 2020, along with all five offensive line starters and talented runner Chris Tyree. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah returns to anchor a defense that loses some talent but will be strong overall

The neutral-site game will mark the first Badger-Irish meeting since 1964. Notre Dame’s young defense is grateful it doesn’t have to contend with a Jonathan Taylor.

The youth in the secondary could create great passing opportunities for a Jack Coan. If Ian Book is protected, he could do some damage against the Badgers. A strong passing effort could make him the difference in this game.

Both teams will look to make a statement in this game. The home-state advantage and the edge on defense set the Badgers up for a nice victory if they hit their marks.

Final Score: Wisconsin 21, Notre Dame 17 (5-0)
