3. Can offense make necessary strides to win a national title?

Look, I’m not going to try to say that Georgia was awful last season on offense, because they were not statistically, it’s just that every time I watched them I was always questioning the creativity of the play-calling and whether or not they were using all of that blue-chip talent on their roster to the best of their abilities.

In far too many games, Georgia was just not good enough on offense, particularly in games against Florida, Auburn and Kentucky, not to mention the SEC Championship beatdown that they got.

Out goes James Coley and in comes Todd Monken who was last in college football as the head coach for Southern Miss back in 2015. He will be tasked fixing an offense that ranked 50th overall in total offense last season.

It will be interesting to see how quickly the offense can get going with a season opener against Virginia and the monster Week 3 showdown in Tuscaloosa against Alabama.

With a more explosive and efficient offense in 2020 coupled with what I think will be the best defense in the entire country, Georgia could be a major playoff contender.
