The second half of the season opens up with Bedlam. The Sooners lost Jalen Hurts but replace him with a former five-star recruit in Spencer Rattler who many believe will be a serious Heisman contender in 2020. The battle between him and Spencer Sanders in this rivalry game will be epic but I’m giving the upper-hand to the home team.

If there was ever a year in which I believe Oklahoma State could dethrone Oklahoma, it’s this season, but Rattler and Kennedy Brooks, along with those elite receivers, will be too much for the Cowboy defense to handle.

Another tough loss for Mike Gundy in this rivalry.

Final Score: Oklahoma State 28, Oklahoma 38 (6-1, 3-1)

An emotional rivalry loss usually demoralizes a team, especially at this point in the season, but Oklahoma State will have suffered just its first loss and there’s still plenty to play for. Heck, the Cowboys could earn a rematch with the Sooners in the Big 12 Championship Game assuming they win out, and that starts with a home game against Texas Tech.

The Red Raiders aren’t a serious threat yet under Matt Wells and they’ll have a tough time keeping pace with the big boys in the conference, so don’t expect this one to end in upset fashion in Stillwater. Oklahoma State bounces back.

Final Score: Texas Tech 17, Oklahoma State 34 (7-1, 4-1)
