1. Clay Helton’s seat

This one is a bit obvious, isn’t it? It seems like ever since he was hired, Clay Helton has been the subject of endless rumors of being on the hot seat and has somehow managed to keep his job despite going 5-7 in 2018 and having a really bad recruiting class in 2020.

Despite all of the Urban Meyer rumors dating back to last offseason, Helton will be the coach when USC takes on Alabama in Dallas on Sept. 5.

The question that will surround USC is can they win in spite of the rumors and talk that will surely follow every game that the Trojans play this season. The schedule does not do them any favors either. They open with Alabama, have a trip to Oregon and end the season with a home game against Notre Dame.
