UNLV is under new leadership in 2020 as Tony Sanchez and the Rebels parted ways after five seasons which concluded with a 4-8 campaign. They’re now under the direction of Marcus Arroyo, Oregon’s former offensive coordinator and associate head coach.

The Rebels shouldn’t be all that much better this upcoming season, especially in a transitional phase under Arroyo.

Final Score: UNLV 13, Iowa State 38 (3-0)

Texas Tech has plenty of question marks heading into the 2020 season which includes the quarterback position. The Red Raiders some talent under Matt Wells, but the program will be taking some time to mold into his liking. He’s not going to have the Red Raiders where he wants them this early, but they’ll show signs of improvement.

With that said, Matt Campbell and Iowa State will be rolling at this point in the season and Brock Purdy will be putting together his best year yet. This is an easy win for Iowa State that looks closer because of a late touchdown by the Red Raiders.

Final Score: Texas Tech 20, Iowa State 34 (4-0, 1-0 Big 12)
