Les Miles may have taken over at Kansas, but the Jayhawks are not even close to being a contender in the Big 12. Will the Jayhawks pull off some upsets in 2020? Probably, but this won’t be one of them as the Cyclones have the experience and talent to avoid a letdown here.

Kansas doesn’t have the pieces just yet while the Cyclones have an All-Big 12 passer, potential All-Big 12 rusher and talented receivers to make this a comfortable win.

The Jayhawks will put up a fight, but it won’t be enough.

Final Score: Iowa State 31, Kansas 17 (5-0, 2-0)

Facing one of the best teams in the conference (arguably Oklahoma’s top threat for the crown), Iowa State has a chance to reach bowl eligibility in early-October and take all the pressure off for the rest of the season.

But this game takes place in Stillwater.

Oklahoma State is extremely difficult to beat at home. The Cyclones will, however, make this a game and it’ll be an instant classic. Brock Purdy and Co. will be on the verge of pulling off an upset in Stillwater, but a field goal with under a minute left by the Cowboys seals the win.

Final Score: Iowa State 31, Oklahoma State 34 (5-1, 2-1)
