Washington football is coming into this season in transition. The Huskies are changing coaches and quarterbacks. Which freshmen will have impacts?

The Washington Huskies are coming off a disappointing 8-5 season which we now know was head coach Chris Petersen’s last. Not only was it Petersen’s last year, but it was also the last season for starting quarterback Jacob Eason.

The 2020 season is a year of transition for the Huskies. Last year’s defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake takes over as head coach. He has brought in some new coaches on his staff as John Donovan takes over as offensive coordinator with Pete Kwiatkowski and Ikaika Malloe both leading the defense.

Though the defense returns seven starters, the offense returns only two. Departing stars include last season’s starting quarterback and running back Salvon Ahmed.

Along with a young rebooted offense, Donovan takes over as new offensive coordinator. The first thing he needs to figure out is who is going to play quarterback this fall. The only scholarship quarterback returning in the fall is  Jacob Sirmon.

With all the change happening in Washington, there are bound to be some signees that will have an opportunity to play in the fall.

Here are three signees that will have an instant impact in Seattle this season.
