Jaylon Johnson, the defensive back from Utah, spent three years at Utah foregoing his senior season to declare for the 2020 NFL Draft.
Johnson has recorded 102 total tackles in his collegiate career — 88 solo tackles and 14 assists. In addition, he also posted seven interceptions for 165 yards and two defensive touchdowns, as well as 21 pass deflections.
In 2019, Johnson posted 36 total tackles, 34 of them solo with two assists, two interceptions, one defensive touchdown and 11 pass deflections.
He will bring strength to the Raiders’ roster with his recognition of routes and breaks and the ability to change the press technique to avoid predictability.
