NFL Draft 2020: Tua Tagovailoa to Dolphins a lock in latest mock
The Philadelphia Eagles finished 2019 season 9-7, securing the first victory of the season against the Washington Redskins and won the last four of five games of the season to make the playoffs where they lost to the Seahawks in the NFC Wild Card game.
The Eagles come into the draft needing an edge rusher, wide receiver and defensive back.
Laviska Shenault Jr. fits the “need” description. He spent three years at Colorado and is among many student-athletes who left college after their junior year to declare for the 2020 NFL Draft.
During his impressive career with Colorado, he caught 149 passes for 1,943 yards and 10 touchdowns and he rushed 42 times for 280 yards and seven scores.
In 2019, Shenault posted 56 receptions for 164 yards, four receiving touchdowns and had 23 rushes for 161 yards and two more touchdowns.
Shenault brings experience with him to the Eagles and possesses the ideal size, strength and speed. His ability to make adjustments in the air and his quickness could make him a future No. 1 target for the Eagles. Carson Wentz approves this pick.
